Hi

Relating to 64167f8a9152 and firmware 5.9.5.0614

We have a number of VVX201's that are in Skype for Business mode.

We would like to add local contacts to the devices and not to Skype for Business or Exchange, however when doing so it appears that we can only specify a name for the contact if we specify a SIP address.

If we want to specify a telephone number then we are unable to add a name to that contact and the contact number is shown, is there anyway around this?

Thanks,
Robert

Hello @Trueman1991 ,

Is this a CCX in Skype for Business mode or using Teams? If Teams the functionality is provided by

the Microsoft Teams IP Phone app.

On the VVX in Skype for Business mode if a favourite index is assigned to the contact it will show on the screen.

Regarding Speed Dials please check here:

Resolution: Please check => here <=

another option would be via an EFK Line key

Hello @Trueman1991 ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Not sure I can follow. Adding a local contact aka a Speed Dial should provide you with an option to specify a First / Last name and a contact.

Hi Steffen

Thanks for the response. I've gone through the process on a CCX that i have and i can add the contact in Contact Directory on the device and i can add the telephone number - so that resolves that issue.

The contact is labelled as a favorite so when i am in the contact directory it has a star next to it, however ideally i would like this contact to appear along the bottom off the phone as a speed dial. I have gone into settings - features - line key customization and enabled that feature. I then click Phone Line Keys to assign a contact however the device only shows me my Skype for Business contacts and not the contacts in the contact directory on the phone. Is there a way to add these contacts here?

Thanks,

Robert

Thanks Steffen - EFK has resolved this for me
The specific code i used was:

<test 	feature.EFKLineKey.enabled="1" efk.efklist.1.action.string="ReplaceWithNumber"
		efk.efklist.1.mname="ReplaceWithName" feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1"
		efk.efklist.1.status="1" />
