Folks,

I'm running a number of Polycom VVX411 with BTOE. Most of us have 1 Gbps internet speeds. I have noticed that when upgrading to firmware version 5.8.0.12386, I cannot get 1Gbps internet speeds. It seems to be topping out at 300Mbps. Has anyone else seen this issue and how do I resolve?

Thanks,

Joe

Hello @jrebele,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am not aware of any speed issues with UC Software 5.8.0 but in order to troubleshoot this we would need to have a ticket raised.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

If the unit is no longer within warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Or simply downgrade to the last know working version as I am not aware of any changes or settings that would affect this.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Thanks!  I did purchase these PolyCom phones from Amazon with a vendor named Discover Savings. My Polycom serial number is 64167F316930. There is definitly a speed issue with this version. If I unplug the PC ethernet cable from the phone and plug into my gigabit hub, I get full 1 Gbps speed. Phone is definitely slowing the internet down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello @jrebele,

The person or organisation who sold the phone should support you but originally it was sold by us to Veracomp SA.

Folks,

This issue has been solved. It turns out that the internet provider I was using was having issue with delivering consistent speeds. When I reboot my PC, the speed would return to normal 1GB service. So I did conclude that the issue was not phone related.

Thanks,

Joe
