Re: vvx 310 with plantronics HW520

Hello sotiris,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In regards to your actual question is this using a Electronic hook switch and did you ensure you are using the right wiring ?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello sotiris,

you have not answered all questions and you are using an unsupported software.

Please upgrade to UC Software 5.6.0 and is this using a Electronic hook switch and did you ensure you are using the right wiring ?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Re: vvx 310 with plantronics HW520

Hello again,

The customer can not upgrade the devices to the latest version due to PBX limitations,he says that he can only work with 5.2.2 which you say is unsupported for plantronics.

So,he prefers to use Jabra corded headsets which are certified, but will it work? With this firmware(5.2.2) ?

Thank you in advance.

Re: vvx 310 with plantronics HW520

Hello

I did not state that the headset is unsupported. I did state that you are using a no longer Polycom supported software. In addition i asked if you are using an electronic hook switch cable.

I suggest you get this into engineering via a support ticket.
