Unable to connect when SIP enabled

I have come across an issue with connecting 2 Polycom units when SIP is enabled on both.


When SIP was enabled the far site unit could connect to my unit but we were not able to connect to the far side unit when we dialed their address.


When attempting to dial the farsite address this error appears: The call could not be completed because the ISDN number is unassigned. Check the number and try again.


Would be grateful for any tips or advise

Not enough information given.


What Systems?  What software are they running?  What does the networks look like they are running on?  Are there firewalls between them and if so what type and do they support the protocols?  are key points that should always be given.
