AMX serial control of Group 500

Hi all

I'm having some serious issues with the control of a Group 500 system via RS-232 from an AMX controller. I have the cabling as per the Polycom Integrator's Reference Manual, serial port is configured for control in the codec settings, baud rates match and protocol is known to be correct as it works via IP control. The problem is that our client doesn't want the control system on his network so I really need to get the serial control working.

 

Has anybody had issues with this and found a solution as I've run out of ideas.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issue experienced may already be addressed in a newer release. This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Sorry, should have thought of that. I'm using version 4.1.3 of the software. This is the first version that supports the 'button' command.
