Hi,

Good Day.

What would be the best practice for Polycom GS 500 for power management?

1. Would it be recommended if I will not turn off the device when not in use?

2. Would this create damage in my device if its always on?

Thanks

The Polycom videoconferencing system can be left on without 'damaging' it.

I would say it depends on your operational enviroment.  How often is it used?  do your users know how to power it on?

If you leave it powered up, I would recommend selecting the proper output, black or none, for your monitor type and if your monitor supports CEC make sure that is also 'on' on the system.
