We have Polycom HDX 7000s set up at many of our locations, and they're NAT'd through the firewall so that the web interface is available via public IP.  Since I've made this change, they've started randomly getting incoming calls that appear to just be nothing.  From what I've read online it's somewhat like spam for SIP.

We stopped using a Polycom Bridge, and now just use the HDX systems with a third party video conferencing host, so we don't use incoming calls at all, only outgoing to one single IP address.

Is there any way to completely disable incoming calls?  Or does anyone have a suggestion for dealing with this in any other way (while leaving the web interface publicly available)?

Thanks,

Jarrod

need to set up some specific ACL rules. Which ones you'll need will depend on what kind of spam call you recieving. Has some more info here-

If you're only recieving in/out communication from a small number of IPs easiest way would be to create an IP whitelist. Don't think you can just do a blanket ban on all incoming traffic as this will prevent video from operating.

Hello @Madan Singh,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version and also the Polycom product in question as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

If they are outbound calls only, to stop inbound video calls try setting DND (Do Not Distrurb).

From the HDX Admin Guide:

Temporarily Refusing Calls

If your system administrator has allowed access to the Availability Control, you can automatically refuse incoming calls if you do not wish to be disturbed.

Callers get a message that the call was rejected, and you receive no notification about incoming calls. You can, however, make outgoing calls.
To temporarily refuse incoming calls:
1 From the Home screen touch User Settings.
2 Touch the HDX System tab.
3 Touch Availability Control and select Do Not Disturb.
