Since two weeks, the video-conf terminal in my company started to receive unknown incoming calls. Most of the time I ignored them. Sometimes I would accept the call to see what it does but the connection just cut off immediately.
I have just checked this forum and found out that others have encountered the same issue. Some call them "ghost calls", some "spammer calls", some "unwanted calls". Whatever name we choose, we need to fight against this. It's not just annoyance but nuisance.
Here is a few IP address of them. Others are welcome to publish other IP addresses:
202.87.213.243
133.242.136.124
110.172.221.25
81.0.120.43
113.23.128.88
Can Polycom company do something against them? Or some larger organization, say video-conf alliance or SIG (special interest group), if they exist, do something against them?
Thanks

Apr 07,2015 Question: How can I prevent Phantom calls to my Video Solution?
Answer: A local Firewall or a Polycom Firewall traversal solution can be utilized to stop this. In order to add this to a possible future Software version in the form of a whitelist please contact Luriep => here <= or Security Center: Security Bulletin Relating to Worldwide Botnet Dialing H.323-Capable Systems

I've always told NOT to use firewall because that would have performance impact on video/audio quality. Now you told us to use firewall. You have to be consistent in your speech.....
Hello FMadm,
I personally never spoke to yourself and not using a firewall is kind of crazy.
In addition Polycom does not control the internet so I am unsure how we are supposed to prevent anyone from calling yourself.
You can add yourself to the List that my colleague started but there are no guarantees.
