Cannot Enable “Allow Video Display on Web”

I am unable to select, "Allow Video Display on Web" from my codec.


am aware how to naviagete to the actual selection page, and also that  you can't select it remotely from the web for security purpose. Although, when I  use the remote control in the room, the selection box remains greyed out and will not  allow selection.


I have no provisions set-up on this HDX 8000, and would appreciate advice on setting this up...


I am able to remote view into another rooms with the same model, and set-up.


What am I missing? Thanks

Hello grassivj,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

What is your security profile setting?  Setting it in the higher modes will not allow this to be changed.


From the HDX admin Guide: 

Allow Video Display on Web (this setting is unavailable when the Security Profile is set to Maximum)
