Cannot add 223.x.x.x in Polycom RealPresence Desktop (RPD) in Favorite

Hi All,

 

  When I add an IP 223.x.x.x in RPD favorite, it rejects because 223 and 240 to be used for multicast. However, multicast range is from 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255. Is It a bug?

 

  For workaround, I add the 223.x.x.x into a xml and then import to favorite.

Our engineering team was able to reproduce this and we are tracking this under EN-127426. We will update this post once this is potentially fixed.

You never posted the Version where you experience the issue but I believe we fixed this in RPD 3.10.0

 

Could you test this and if this still fails open a ticket with our support team?
