Codec noise during Skype integrated calls

Was wondering if anyone has heard this noise. If the codec is called directly this doesn't happen as well as H.323 calls directly to the RMX. We have a Group 300 which does this with every call and have had an HDX 9006 do this until it was factory reset as well as intermittently on a Group 700.

 

RMX is a 4000.

Skype FE is running CU8.

 

Sound is jarring so turn down your volume.

  • Provide the Call Platform (aka openSIP,Skype for Business Online, Skype for Business on Premise, Lync)

Whilst providing some of these details may not directly impact any possible answer the community can provide, it does enable Polycom to have an overview of the current software used. In addition providing all details at the same time allow us to check logs or look up a potential support partners if an issue needs to come into support. It also enables us to verify the entitlement for using features.

  • HDX 9006 Hardware B was version 3.1.3.2-38311 and issue was consistent > ERFL performed and issue doesn't happen with version 3.1.0-23277
  • RealPresence Group 300 Hardware 0 was version 4.1.3.2-200003 and issue was consistent > ERFL performed and issue doesn't happen with same version 4.1.3.2-200003
  • RealPresence Group 700 Hardware 6 is version 6.1.7-450056 issue happens rarely and codec has not been touched
  • Two DMAs - superclustered - version 9.0.1_P2_Build_6134
  • RMX 4000 version 8.8.0.441 - two MPMRX-Ds
  • Skype for Business on Premise 2015 CU8
  • RPRM 10.3.0_26
  • Two DMA load balanced CSS VMs 1.6.2.433
