Hi all,

We use a HDX6000 system and need to place a phone call to another company which does not have video conferencing in place (they currently use Skype which I am led to believe is not supported).

Is there a way we can connect with them using our system? if yes are there multiple as options are always good...

Thanks in advance,

Andrew Reid

You are going to need an itermediary.  The obvious one is Blue Jeans but others may exist.  HDX are H.323, Skype is proprietary so doesn't talk to anything else without translation.

Thanks very much for the swift reply, I will look into it.

Hello Andrew,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Depending on what you want to do and how often you communicate you could look into using Real Presence Desktop or Real Presence Mobile.

Both are Polycom products.
