Dear Polycom support team,

I have Polycom HDX 7000 HD, Firmware 3.1.7_ne-48092 with RTV\CCCP license and Skype for Business on computers.

I have a problem with Calendaring funtionality.

When I go the Polycom Unit and access the calendar, the meeting apears but the Join Now  option and URL is missing. Where is this configured and how is it done?

And second : If on my computer I try to add the Lync user that represents the HDX 7000 to the conference that I started on my computer, I receive an error that says: " [username] cannot be reached"

Any idea?

Thanks

Dima

Hi Dima,

I am having the exact same problem ever since I upgraded to Skype for Business.  Did you ever find a solution to this?

Polycom support team....can you comment on these two issues we are experiencing after upgrading from Lync 2013 to Skype for Business.

Thank you.

Anton

Hello all,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Skype for Business 2015 is not supported for HDX as the HDX only officially supports LYNC 2010 or LYNC 2013

Please work with your Polycom reseller so you can raise a feature request and quote VIDEO-112416 or VIDESC-14705

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello Polycom support,

this is not a very useful answer. I´m having the same problem since we updated our backend server to SFB (Sky for Buisness).

As you now it is an state of the art technology menawhile, is there a workaround to get the "Join Call" button back?

Thanks for the answer.

Hello Roger123,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We, as a manufacturer, cannot keep all our products updated to support every version of a call server and have to stop developing at some point as it may:

  • Be no longer financially viable to support a product
  • A hardware limitation
  • A new product replacing an older product

Prior to upgrading an infrastructure you should always ensure compatibility of all used devices. Our release Notes document in detail what other products and their version are supported.

As already replied to the original and follow up posters please work with your Polycom reseller in regards of raising a feature request or Polycom Global Services to discuss other options.

Best Regards

Hello Steffen,

thanks for the replay too bad that you only came up with excusions and not a solution.

I thought that is where is Forum is meant to be, exchange solutions.

If anyone has a solution for the "Join call" Button for Polycom hdx 7000 in touch with Skype, please let me know. 🙂

Hello Roger123,

this is the official Polycom community so I cannot offer you a workaround for a non supported platform.

I already replied with the only way you would ever get this supported. This needs to be raised as a Feature Request and if technically possible and financially viable Polycom can look into supporting this.
