Hello MarcinR,

Answer: Please check the relevant release notes or admin guide for your device under the section “Inbound and Outbound Ports” or "Port usage" => here <=.

In addition check this FAQ post => here <= for more details and troubleshooting suggestions.

  • Jun 21,2014 Question: What could be causing one way video or one way audio when utilizing video conferencing?

Answer: Please check the relevant release notes or admin guide for your device under the section “Inbound and Outbound Ports” or "Port usage" => here <= in order to open the relevant firewall ports.

In addition check this FAQ post => here <= for more details and troubleshooting suggestions.

This is most likely caused by the firewall as the Multipoint call causes a new Invite and the Firewall may block this. Usually it re-negotiates video by closing and re-opening the video channel.

Veracomp as the Reseller should be able to help you in case you struggle with this.

Are you certain the RP Group Series has the MP software active on it?  You can verify it by looking at the options under the Admin Settings, General Settings.  It sounds like it could be that you do not have it active and if that is the case than the addition of the 2nd endpoint would be audio only.

Also the RP Group Series 500 supports 6 sites in an MP connection (5 remote + host).

Where I find my license number (multipoint software is no active)

I must buy license to activate MP on group 500 or generate key?

HP Recommended

Correct, Multipoint is an option on Polycom endpoints and you must purchase a license, which you activate on the activation site in order to get a key that is associated with the serial number of the endpoint you will use as the host of your multipoint calls.

Only the host site needs to have the multipoint key enabled on it.

Please contact your reseller or Polycom inside sales at 1-800-POLYCOM, option 1.
