Hi all,

I have a CMA neighbored with a DMA, and HDX endpoints registered to one or the other. When I try making a call using the H.323 ID from one to the other, the calls fails, with a far end unreachable message. The strange thing is that this only happens if the H.323 ID has an @ sign in it. Any other text string works fine. Logs from the calling HDX reveal this:

016-07-20 10:25:25 WARNING avc: pc[0]: outgoing h323 call to name@company.com, rate 1920, disconnected with cause code 171

I can't find a reference to cause code 171 anywhere on the internet. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

James

As an update to this, further testing has revealed that the DMA/CMA neighbor link is irrelevant. Endpoints have the same trouble trying to call using URI-format H.323 IDs even when they are registered to the same CMA.

Hello James,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Please provide this basic information for all devices involved.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
