I've recently seen duel monitor emulation in use on a small Dell XGA projector and really liked the potential -

Can anyone recommend or share their experience on particular projectors that this works well with? I've been looking at a Dell 1610HD which seems like it may do the job.

I'd like to replace the double plasma screen configuration we currently use with a single projector doing duel monitor emulation.

Can anyone also advise what the behaviour is when the second screen cuts out (be it content or other), does the image rescale to display the entire monitor 1 content? Or does it continue to present the polycom screen saver of monitor 2.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Hi Dan.

Yep! Dual Screen Emulation is quite cool.

See HDX Room Systems User Guide>Controlling what you see>Enabling Dual Monitor Emulation.

http://supportdocs.polycom.com/PolycomService/support/global/documents/support/user/products/video/h...

That describes all the screen layout choices you can hot switch during calls dependant of need at any specific point in a VC meeting.

(Dual Screen emulation is native on single screen systems HDX4000/6000).
