Hi All,

I have a customer with a group 700 that uses HDCI Breakout cables. Does this configuration support automatic power on to the camera's. Why I am asking this? Because I have a system whereby the camera's don't start automatically after a reboot. When I manually put off and on the camera, they are fully functional again.

Per Polycom's guide, the Group Series 700 with the HDCI breakout cable requires power to the camera via a dedicated power supply:

Power supply. Power supply is only required if you want to use the IR remote to wake the system when it is in sleep mode on RealPresence Group 700 systems. Use only the approved power supply from Polycom (part number 1465-52748-040). Do not exceed 12 Volts at 3 Amps. Verify the polarity of the power supply as shown on the Polycom camera next to the power supply input.

It maybe that the RS-232 cable is not correctly done, I would verify that first.

Also move the EEIII to the codec and see if all is OK there, then you know it is in the long distance wiring.
