I need someone to confirm that this is possible.

 

HDX 9002 (latest firmware 3.1.1.3) will work with an EED v1 or v2 pref v2.

 

I have been finding conflicting white papers on the topic.

When in doubt about interoperability please refer to the release notes for the HDX version you are questioning.

 

According to the release notes, both are supported:

Polycom EagleEye Director 1.0 (requires HDX system software 3.0.1 or later)

Polycom EagleEye Director 2.0 (requires HDX system software 3.1.1.2 or later)

 

As always the latest is the greatest so it is advised to always keep your systems, including peripherals like the Polycom Touch Control and the EagleEye Director, up to date with software versions.

is there anyway we can upgrade the EED ? i can manage the *.pup files from the support pages. 

how the procedure to upgrading EED ? is it the same way as upgrading HDX?
