We have an HDX 9000 installation with two cameras (Eagle Eye HD).  Both function normally except that one camera loses picture (blue screen) while panning.  We thought this was a camera problem so we've swapped it out for a new camera and the same thing happens.  Finally one of our tech's realized that it might be related to the position of the camera and the lighting intensity at certain positions in the room.  Sure enough, when he closed the blinds in this room and the lighting is more even, the panning picture loss does not occur.  He was able to repeat this behavior with the original camera.  The picture loss never occurs with the blinds closed.  It seems the camera 'closes it eye' momentarily because of a bright light...

Has anyone seen this type of response?  Is there another potential explanation?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

My question is, which camera loses the image when panning? Is it Camera 1 or Camera 2? Camera 2 obviously would need an external power supply for the camera as there is no power on HDCI Input 2. Secondly you mentioned this is an HDX 9000 codec, I'd be interested in finding out the serial number and what power supply is in this codec. There is a lot of mechanical stuff going on when the camera pans and the iris is closing all at the same time. Please provide the serial number so that we can do some research on this codec.
