Hi,

i would like to attach a second monitor to our Polycom HDX 4500 unit. I saw the guide that showed the second DVI-port. I bought a cable as was shown in the manual (DVI to RGB) and linked it to our monitor (Samsung HD). Are there any settings i have to adjust to show the Polycom screen on the external monitor?

Thanks for your help,

G. Rehberger

Also you have to select the appropriate Video Format in System -> Admin Settings -> Monitors -> Monitors. Nake a look at HDX Admin's Guide -> Configure Monitors Settings.

Hope this could help

Hi Mike,

thanks for the tip - i already tried to configure that part of the menu. I tried DVI (because it's a DVI cable, right?), VGA and Component, but it didnt seem to work.

Thanks anyway, i will try further.

Best,

You have to use the format just supported by your monitor - please refer to the monitor user's guide. In spite of DVI connector anyone from three listed formats can be used. Please note also that 'Component' is not RGB format but YPbPr one.
