I installed a couple of day ago our first Poly G7500. I know that it shouldn't natively work with Skype for Business (we have Skype for Business online) but I would like to know if there is a workaround to setup Skype O365?

I tried also to register the device on https://otd.plcm.vc and even if I can't try the model G7500 between the available endpoint I manage to register it (status connected on the portal) but when i type all the provided data in the calendaring service fields in the G7500 web interface system doesn't register.

We have realconnect license and I would like to simplify user experience and take advantage of realconnect with the one touch to dial option! Is it possible?

Thank You

Hi,

we did it with O365 and also with Exchange recently on the G7500.
For the G7500 you can select the RealPresence Group Series when configuring a new device.

But first of all you'll have to configure your Calendar Integration with O365 and test that OTD has access to the room calendar account.

You'll have 2 options, as an application or as a service account:
https://otd.plcm.vc/support/docs/calendars/office365-choose-how-to-connect

Don't continue setting up your devices until the calendar integration works, only if it works the G7500 will show the status registered.

With O365 you don't even have to manually configure a new device, the Group Series/G7500 autoregisters to OTD and will appear under devices when you'll use your own O365 room account credentials but you'll have to configure otd.plcm.vc as Exchange Server Address which works as a relay:

  • Microsoft Exchange Server Address: otd.plcm.vc

Please follow the instruction below how to setup your G7500 either with autoregistration (own room credential) or by manually configuring the device (and then using the credentials which will be generated by OTD service):

Hi Chris,

I did it and indeed I could find one click to join button on screen but the endpoint wan't able to call the address. However now I asked my global admin to authorize the Office365 OTD App and I will try again. I'll keep you update.

Thank you

Hi Fabio,

OTD needs to have full access to your O365 room mailboxes for modifying the SfB/Teams meeting invitations so that the G7500 can parse them correctly and join SfB/Teams meetings via the RealConnect service.

Otherwise you'll see the join button but the G7500 tries to join as a native SfB/Teams client which doesn't work and not via RealConnect.

Have you also enabled to recognise meeting invitations for Poly RC with SfB & Teams under settings at otd.plcm.vc (see attached screenshot)?
