How do I adjust video quality in Polycom Group Series 500 device. How can I choose option in which format(i.e SD, CIF, HD) I am broadcasting or receiving video data (or conferencing)? Please Help???

It is automatic in the EP based upon the capabilities of yours and the far ends, and the network speed which you are dialing.  You will hear it referred to as the CAPs exchange which happens when the call is established and the codecs synchronize at the highest common set of capabilities they support. 

 

The resolutions supported at different data rates by the specific RealPresence group series system you are using are set out in the data sheet and the appendix in the Administrator's Guide.

 

The RealPresence group 300 and 500 support 1080p/60 on the People stream, or the content stream (the other can do 1080p/30) whereas the RealPresence group 700 supports 1080p/60 on both the People and Content streams.  On the 300/500 you control which you want (60fps on People or Content) by specifying the Motion (60fps) or Sharpness (1080p) in the camera settings.  The default is Motion for the people camera which is generally sufficient for all conferences unless you are doing major motion input on the content side.
