I have an HDX 6000 codec.  It's only video/audio inputs are a DVI input and a 3.5mm audio input.  I'm trying to hookup a laptop to the codec to send content to the device.  I'm using an HDMI to DVI cable to send the content to the codec.  I can get video to the codec, but I can't get audio.  The only way to get audio is to run a separate 3.5mm cable from the laptops headphone jack to the audio input of the codec.  Does anyone know of a way to get video and audio to the codec using an HDMI to DVI adapter?  Thanks

Hello Dolla,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The DVI connector, unlike the HDMI connector, cannot transport audio so the only way to set this up is via the cabling you already use.
