Hi,

anybody has tried to IP connect a Polycom HDX 4500 (or also another HDX family box) to a Lifesize networker box, to gain ISDN H.320 capabiliy?

If you let me know if it works.

Regards.

Hello,

You would need to have to register both units to a gateway to make H.323 connect to H.320.

Hi,

the Lifesize Networker is an ISDN Gateway.

I mean using the lifesize networker as ISDN gateway for the HDX 4500 (that can't use Polycom ISDN box).

I've seen the datasheet (https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://www.lifesize.com/~/media/Documents/Product+Documentation/N...) and I'm wondering if anybody has tried it out?

Thanks.

LifeSize Networker is a standard H.323 <-> H.320 gateway and so can be used to route the calls from/to HDX 4000 to/from ISDN    endpoints. But keep in mind that using the GW may bring the additional delay and transcoding what doesn't increase the quality of video and audio. Be sure that the HDX ISDN boxes give better quality and are more simple in use.

Hi Mike,

thanks for your post.

Have you tried that connection? I'm just wondering if there is some kind of flag or protocol that the networker needs to have to enable the  H.323 <-> H.320 gateway

Thanks.
