Having issues linking the audio between the two.

Running latest software rev for both as of 4/10/2013

Place an audio only call via the IP 7000 - no problem

Place a video only call via the HDX 6000 - no problem

Place video call and add phone.

Both show connected via monitor and phone screen but audio is not linked. Have to, via phone, go to More > Manage > select phone call > Hold > Resume.......then audio works.

If both audio and video are placed from the phone itself, same issue but resiolution is More > Manage > select phone call > Join

Is there not a way to make this automatic? Similar to how the VTX and VSX used to?

The first thing to check is that the IP 7000 is connected properly.  This can be done by looking at the Stereo settings in the embedded UI and seeing it show "phone" next to the meter bars.

On the Web UI see if it indicates the SoundStation IP on the System Info page under tools.

Also verify that one of the soft buttons indicates a "video" call.

If that all checks out, the way it should work is that the audio should come from the speakers in the phone when it is an audio only call (VoIP from the phone or POTS from the video system) otherwise the audio should be coming from the speakers connected to the video system.

Yes, it all shows correctly. The HDX sees the IP7000 and the IP7000 sees the HDX. Video tab is there. It seems to work they way it should except for the fact that you have to go through that process of linking the two. It isnt automatic. Users will not want to have to press 4 buttons in order for the two to work together.

Hello Frank,

it is always useful to post the current software version in a topic.

In a few weeks or months down the line nobody knows what the Software version may have been reading this post.

In addition your belief of being the latest may not be correct.

Could you please post the software version of both the HDX and the SSIP 7000 ?

For example HDX 3.1.1.3 should use the SSIP UCS 4.0.3 Rev F as Software.

Best Regards
