Good day all. We recently purchased a HDX 6000 and a wireless mic transmitter. We have not had any success with the wireless mic transmitter. Is there a certain way this is supposed to be hooked up? We have it going out of the PC audio out, but to me it's an input not an output, but I'm no A/V expert.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

HDX-6000 supports only its own mic. You may connect   Wireless Mic Transmitter to 3.5 мм Audio in of HDX 6000, but it will work only when content sharing is active. ( you have to connect PC to DVI input and start presentation)

Figures. Is there any type of wireless mic made specifically for those types of units? Sorry, new to the products.

As Ovg said. The only additional audio input is the 3.5 to carry PC Content audio & you'll only hear that when you are content sharing.HDX7000 is your entry point for 3rd party mics.  You could use SoundSDtructure but that'd be a bit of an over kill.
