when unit sleeping and nobody touch remote, but camera(EagleEye 2) may auto wake up for no reason! boss don't like it.
what we can do something to chang this ?
So, there are a few things that would make the camera turn around.
1) The remote being touched.
2) Somone entering the web interface and changing somthing.
3) Sending an API command to the codec. (Do you have a touch control?)
When the camera turns around, does the system wake up, or stay asleep?
nobody touch remote
nobody entering the web interface and changing somthing
no touch control
when the camera turns around, the system wake up.
can we cancle the camera auto sleeping?or do something to chang this situation? thank you!
This is not the expected behaviour - what software version are you running ? is it possible to upgrade the unit ?
Are there any other devices connected to the HDX ? Please elaborate on the installation.
Couple other scenarios that also may cause an inadvertently camera waking up.
IF someone is remotely access the HDX 7000 via the web login access (especially if accesses "remote monitoring") could also make the camera turn on.
Also if a 3rd party control system(AMX, Crestron, etc) is also involved could create a situation where a command is being sent after a given time period waking up the system turning the camera around.
Another thing which causes the system to wake up is any type of vibration on the remote. Even bumping the surface the remote is sitting on my cause it to 'come alive' and the system to wake up. If the LED display on the remote lights up that means the remote has detected motion and will send a signal to wake the codec.
To resolve, move the remote to a place where it will not pick up any vibration. Or if the concern is someone is looking in on the room there is a camera lens cover for the EagleEye cameras (not the EagleEye 1080, but all the others) which can be ordered. It is part number 2215-28454-001, called the Privacy cover for the EagleEye camera.
