We have a good dozen HDX 7000 HD systems in operation @ Missouri S&T, they all have the latest 3.0.5-22695 sofware release installed and are connected through a robust T1 Backbone.

2 of the systems are of the "B" hardware build (rest are C) and are the only ones that will not connect @ over 4sif  @512k,  no matter what we connect to....

We have to bump up to 1024k to get 720p. where as the "C" hardware builds have no problem achieveing 720p @ 512k

Is this a known problem with a workarround? any help wouold be apreciated. 🙂

High Profile, which does 720p from 5122 kb/sec, can be used with:

  • all HDX 6000 (receives up to 720p60 and 1080p30, transmits up to 720p30 and 1080p15),
  • HDX 7002 Rev C (shipping since early February 2010),
  • HDX 8002/8004/8006 Rev B (shipping since January 2009),
  • HDX 9000 Rev B (shipping since April 2010).
  • Polycom HDX 4002  users can enjoy High Profile on systems running release 3.0 or
higher, on Rev B hardware (shipping since February 2011)

There is a hardware upgrade kit available for your hdx 7000.

Please talk to your polycom partner for more information.

Sorry to resurect this old thread.

I have several HDX 7000 HD hardware version C codecs running software version 3.1.3.2.

They will only run 4SIF at 512k using H.264-HP.

I think this is a new enough platformand code to be getting 720p at that line rate. Is there something I'm missing in the config.

Thanks for any help.

Kevin
