I have been trying to hook up all the components on the polycom 7000HDX. I have had it for a few years but was unable to use as I was not prepared for the High Def situation and all the adaptors I need to hook up anything. I have a MACBOOK PRO. I picked up a display hdmi adaptor and picked up a ten-foot hdmi cable to go from the polycom to the laptop. I see the laptop on my screen for about 5 seconds than I get a message that states: Please check your content cable and make sure that it is sending video in a supported resolution such as 1024 by 768 60Hz. If using People + Content IP, enter 10.30.18.141 and press Connect then Play and then the screen goes blue without an image of the laptop. This has been very frustrating. Does anyone have a solution for this or have you experienced it?
Hello dannala,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
What resolution is your Laptop set to on this adapter ?
Usually we list the supported resolutions in the Admin Guide or even the release notes.
Have you tried a shorter cable as well and in addition it is always useful to post the currently used software version.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

HI Steffen,
I pulled down the equipment for today. I will reset it up tomorrow and try changing the resolution on the laptop and let all know what happens. Like I said it would show up for a few moments then nothing with the note from the Polycom. Wish I had thought of that and tried it before I broke down the set up for the day. I'll get back to you tomorrow. Thanks...
