HDX 7000 connecting to RMX rooms

Good afternoon,


We have an HDX 7000 and cannot call RMX rooms.  we use the ip##xxx format.  Our older VTX7000 connected no problem.  We have licenses for 1080 and multipoint,  It only shows TIP not licensed.

Hello Pat,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used HDX and RMX Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

It would also be of interest if:


  • Has this ever worked before with this HDX or is this a new issue?
  • Have you got any other Video Endpoints within your organisation and are any of these HDX?
  • Is this SIP or H.323
