We have an established network with Cisco infrastructure and Polycom/Cisco endpoints that has been operating for 2 years without this issue but recently I've had users from several sites call in and complain that a "Login Failed" message keeps appearing during calls. I have read from the latest software release notes that this is an issue with encryption not being enabled on both ends and that it was fixed.

I've tried a number of encryption configurations but they don't seem to be solving the problem. I don't have access to the latest software release and I'm wondering the following:

1. Is there a way to address this problem with the latest software?

2. Why has this only appeared recently when no changes have taken place on our network?

System Software: Release - 2.5.0.8-4035

Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike,

welcome  back to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issue experienced may already be addressed in a newer release. This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

It is also helpful to follow up older post like this one => here <= so other users can profit from the replies provided.

2. Old post followed up.

Hello Mike,

that is a rather old software and you should try at least 2.6.1.3 as this is still within the same platform.

If you have a maintenance contract I suggest to upgrade to the laste 3.x.x Software as this addresses some other issues.
