Hello,

We have a number of HDX 8000 units. When you use the remote monitoring tools from the web interface the camera feed displayed in the remote monitor locks up as soon as you display content. As soon as you stop displaying content the camera feed in the remote monitoring tool will start refreshing normally.

This only happens when in a video conference. Has anyone else run into this before? Is it normal for this to occur?

I have tried different firmware versions and it happens with all of them.

Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Some of your old post's are still in an open status and I assume since then have been solved.

It is very useful for other community members if you can provide some closure to these => here <=

In addition it is always useful to provide the currently used software version as you may assume we do not need this but we do.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello Steffen,

Thanks for the response. Our Polycoms are currently using firmware version Release - 3.1.11-53024

It looks like the posts I submitted previously have all been addressed and can be closed.

Thanks

Is it a single monitor system?

Is so this makes sense.  You would not want content shared for security reasons and the content would take over the main montior so the camera image is not available during that period of time.

These are setup in classrooms with an instructor PC and projector system that connect to video conferences.

When we use the remote monitoring feature on the Polycom web interface the content never shows there - just the camera feeds. If we choose to show content to the video conference the video feeds lock in the remote monitoring tool. As soon as the content is turned off, the video feeds resume refreshing like they are supposed to. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before or if this is supposed to happen.

Thanks

Jeff
