I recently purchased and HDX 8000 on the secondary market because I needed something to get through the pandemic and the fact that there isn't a webcam to be had.

The unit was on version 3.1.7 and I followed the instructions to install the latest version update. As is my luck during the upgrade, there was a power failure (yes it was attached to a UPS). Now when the device is powered on, the light on the front turns blue when I power up the device, you can hear the fans spin up, then the light on the front button turns red briefly and the process starts over again. I am assuming that the boot device became corrupted, is there any recovery?

Hello @sbalsam

most likely the unit is corrupt and cannot be recovered by an End-user. Using community search >here< finds many similar posts.

Best Regards
