If an HDX 8000 is registered to Lync only, does it support H.264 when calling another HDX 8000 registered only to Lync?

Yes.  Even though Lync is used for the SIP signaling when the endpoints advertise their supported media codecs in the SDP portion they will both list H.264 as the most-preferred option.

So in the event that you have one HDX call the other via it's Lync SIP Address they will still use H.264-HP for media, for example.  (They will not use RTV.)
