One of our departments on campus uses an HDX 8000 in their conference room.  They can start a session with no problems, but have trouble ending or terminating a session.  Using the remote, hitting hand up does nothing.  We have tried it with a remote from a different HDX 8000 unit and get the same result.

I work with an HDX 9000 for four years now and have never had such an issue.  Can anyone offer a suggestion ?

Thanks,

Lane

This could be an issue with the IR, the florecent lights in the room may be playing a role in this. Could you log into the WEB UI of the primary codec, go to tools>remote control and try disconnecting the call from there? If this works without an issue the next thing I would suggest is trying to disconnect another call with the remote control but with the lights in the room turned off.

Thanks for the reply.  I will test it out later today.  It is such an unusual problem, and i have never seen it in any of my Polycom setups.
