Dear support team,

we acquired a used HDX 9000 System (DATE OF MFR 20131220), which won't power up.

We pressed the front button and the remote power, but LED is always off, and screens remain blue.

Does the unit need to be connected to other hardware to be switched on?

TIA,

Bernd

Hello Bernd,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Could the unit have been faulty already ? Who sold you this?

Have you got a serial so we can lookup the history?

Hello Steffen,

thank you for the prompt feedback!

Indeed i think the unit is faulty. But as I've never seen it working, I'm not sure, if it's a problem of missing external connections. Thus my question "Does the unit need to be connected to other hardware to be switched on?" As the power LED stays dark, when power button is pressed and the unit is only connected to the power line.

Serial is A05993

Best regards,

Bernd

Hello Bernd,

The Unit itself should work without a camera or a screen and should power up.

The serial usually starts with 82 and has 12 or 14 digits.

Hello Steffen,

thank you for your feedback and sorry for the pause in communication. Busy times ...

Rechecked the serial: 8209460A5993P1

I'm not shure if its worth getting the unit repaired. Is there a repair-service in Germany I can talk to, to get an idea how much that could cost? Happening nothing at all, after switching on, it might be a faulty power supply.

Best regards,

Bernd

Hello Bernd,

This unit was already an RMA due not booting up back in 21/01/2014

Not sure how you got this but unfortunately you purchased a dead unit of unknown background.
