Hi,

I have a building with some HDx6000 HD with the same version of firmware and the last monday all devices were reset automatically.

I could see in the logs the following lines in all devices:

***************************************************************************************************************

 /var/log/errors Date:2011-11-24 10:37:37
Tabor 3.0.2.1 Release build #17007
G3/HDX 6000 HD - build date: 2011-07-26 19:03:23-0500 by: buildmaster

rebootcount: An infinite reboot loop has been detected! Resetting configuration data.
***************************************************************************************************************

We lost all the configuration. Anybody knows is there any bug or issue with this version and HDX6000 HD? or why the devices were rebooted automatically?

I try to find in many sites but I din't find noting.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards.

Hi Thomas,  The HDX is equipped with a sort of a self preservation utility where if something happens to the HDX (usually an external occurrence) such as a power failure or a hit on the LAN it may either suffer a configuration file corruption or think it did.  When this happens the HDX will reboot it self three times to try to clear the fault.  If after three reboots it cannot clear the fault it will return to the factory defaults.  We are working on this issue to try to learn all the reasons for this occurrence.  I would suggest calling Polycom Support (888) 248 4143 and open a service request..  We would like to see the System Support Package from those systems to collect more information as to the nature of this occurrence.

If you have had more than one HDX affected at the same time then I suspect some external occurrence such as a power hit.  If so please be sure all HDX units are adequately equipped with a surge protector device.
