The original EagleEye View camera on my HDX6000 codec died, so I replaced it with an EagleEye III, which works fine.  Since the orginal system microphone was in the View camera and is now gone, I purchased a single ceiling microphone.  This mic is not detected by my codec at all.  I am off maintenance and the original salesperson is long gone, so I cannot get an answer on how to solve this.  Is the codec not configured for a ceiling mic somehow?  How would I correct this?  Thanks!

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

As a newbie at this, my fear is that the HDX6000 codec was bought configured for the EyeView camera, so the hardware for the Walta mic port was disabled somehow.  Could this be the problem?
