We have an HDX7000 with a TV connected to the 1st DVI-I monitor port using a DVI-I to VGA cable and an Altona HD-530 connected to the 2nd DVI-I monitor port using a DVI-I to HDMI cable with an adapter in the middle (the Altona converts the HDMI video to RCA so we can convert it to IP with an Axis Q7401). All that being said, prior to making a call, we can see the near camera on both the TV and a PC viewing the IP video output from the Altona/Q7401 combination. Once we dial and establish a call, we can see the far side video on the TV, but the Altona/Q7401 video will only display the near camera. The 2nd monitor port is set to display both Near and Far side, with DVI-I port 1 being checked as the Content viewer.

We can manually check and uncheck the Near Camera and Far Camera settings on the Polycom while watching the Altona/Q7401 ouput and each time the Near Camera is unchecked leaving the Far Camera checked, the video drops.

Any input would be appreciated.

On Monitor 2 settings, there is no option to set it to Monitor 1 Image. That option only appears as a default for Monitor 3, used for the DVD Recording.

Hello SCCIT-ANALYST,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as features required may only be added in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

We had to upgrade the firmware in order to have the "Monitor 1 image" option. We did that and it does now present the Monitor 1 image as it's output. That piece is fixed, but, we're attempting to output from DVI-I on Monitor 2 to HDMI for feeding the video to a recording software and the video won't pass thru the DVI-I to HDMI adapter..............back to the drawing board.
