We have an HDX8000 used for multipoint calls with the display set-up for "Discussion Mode".

The first two sites are joined without problems but when we connect the third site (it appears to be a Polycom RMX 2000 gateway), the display switches to "Full Screen Mode". It looks like we lose the control of this setting or our system automatically cascades the call into this third site in a "Slave" mode.

The symptom is similar to the knowledgebase article "Video endpoint hosting MP call in Discussion Mode goes into Full Screen Mode when dialing an ISDN en..." and the solution described there involves a configuration change on the gateway on the external site.

As we don't have access to the third site system configuration, are there any changes that we can make on our HDX8000 so that it doesn't automatically cascade the call?

Thanks,

Cezar

In short, no.  There's no configuration option on the HDX to command master or slave mode when cascading MCU's - this would be a function of the RMX, in this case.
