Hello, I am new to this site. My company is interested in purchasing the realpresence desktop software, but I can't even get the trial version to work.
I work at a detention facility and our corporate IT did not let us go through our exiting data lines. I had to call to have a DSL line installed and have it connected to a lap top (temporarily). I installed the software and found a test IP address online and was able to get it to work. When I try doing an actual test with someone who I need to use the software with, it does not work. I was looking around and saw other pages talk about firewall setting and ports. I am not very computer literate and do not understand this. I really need to get this to work. Any help would greatly be appreciated. THank you.
what video infra you are having?you are having CMA(gatekeeper),DMA(gatekeeper and load balancer)and RMX(multi conference unit) VBP(polycom firewall).are you planing to bring RPD(real precence desktop)as dektop solution for our internal Video communicaton?
I do not have anything installed other than the desktop software installed on a lap top connected to a DSL line. I do not have anything else connected to it other than a logitec digital camera.
Did you ever get this or any other video client working? As I had confirmed recently, RPD requires a server for registration, SIP or H.323 and will not run in unregistered mode as RealPresence Mobile does.
