Hi guys,

we have setup a new envorioment in our London office using a VBP 7501 (as embedded gatekeeper) and two end-point:

- GroupSeries 500 (using E164 4001)

- GroupSeries 700 (using E164 4002)

the VBP has it own public IP directly on the internet

In Rome we have a VBP 4555 (using Polycom DMA 7000 as gatekeeper) with it own public IP directly on Internet, DMA 7000 as gatekeeper (and use VBP as H323 SBC for internet call), RMX 1500 attached to DMA 7000 and various end-point, most of them are HDX 6000 and 7000

Now the problem is when we make a call directly between the end-point, from the Rome site we can see and ear the London office, but they don't see and ear us. Nothing change if the try to call directly us using the usual IP##E164, we see but on the other side no

The only way to have a two-way audio\video is to use RMX1500 (that pass from the same VBP) with a meeting room, Lodon call a meeting room inside the RMX and we from Rome call the same and everything is fine.

So I can assume that the problem is not VBP, but seems like and issue of codec (may be) between the HDX and GS endpoint. Has anyone had the same problem? The London site can call other endpoint without problem, just our Rome site 😞

Any suggestion it's appreciated.

I'm attaching two network diagram from both office.

Thanks

Hello Giammarco,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"
