Hello,

Is it possible to disable the round table view when using a polycom with skype for business?

Thanks

Hi @WSDE,

I don´t know which device you use (CX5000,5100,5500) but you can switch the camera-settings in your SfB client to „Active Speaker“, in this case you disable panoramic view.

Thanks for your reply, however I can't find the "Active Speaker" option in my video preferences.  When "Speaker View" is selected during a conference call the panoramic view remains.

Any further advice?

Thanks in advance,

Hello @WSDE ,

welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First and the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

As a reminder the basic information asked for:

  • Provide the exact Software Version of your Phone
  • Provide the Phone Model
  • Provide the Call Platform (aka openSIP,Teams, Skype for Business Online, Skype for Business on Premise, Lync)
  • Additional Poly Infrastructure (RPRM,PDMS or BToE)
  • If possible provide the MAC Address or Serial of the device
  • Provide details for example if the issue is a day 1 issue or only happened after an upgrade or any other relevant details
  • For questions around Support please check here

Whilst providing some of these details may not directly impact any possible answer the community can provide, it does enable Poly to have an overview of the current software used. In addition, providing all details at the same time allow us to check logs or look up potential support partners if an issue needs to come into support. It also enables us to verify the entitlement for using features.

You have not answered the basic question of what CX device you are using and what PC or Mac Client etc.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Hello all,

assuming this is for a CX5100 or CX5500 I found this >here<:

device.local.panoviewEnable 0 or 1 1
Enables or disables panoramic video. If set to 1, panoramic video is enabled. If set to 0, panoramic view is disabled and active speaker video displays only.
Note: This parameter works only for older Microsoft client applications and does not work for Skype for Business in Windows. For connected Mac computers, the panoramic view is not supported as a separate video stream. The panoramic view overlay is supported only on active speaker video stream.

Basically you could test:

<test device.set="1" device.local.panoviewEnable="0" device.local.panoviewEnable.set="1" />

For any issue with this please work with a Poly reseller and quote EN-79251

Best Regards
