Hi,

I have received a VSX800 unit from a client who no longer had use of it.

As I plan to give it away again, I wanted to delete the configuration, so my clients connection details would not come up when new owner boots the VSX8000. I googled how to do a factory reset, and followed the procedure of erasing the flash memory.

As a result, the box now boots using DHCP, but has no running software on it. Using FTP I can see there are a number of *.dat files still residing on the system. I then downloaded the latest software for the VSX8000 and started the upload process, but it requires a software key.

Question, is there a way whereby I can recover the old software key, or can I download a basic version of the software which do not require a software key, etc. an old version. I just want to bring the box back in a state where it can be booted into its system menu.

Best regards

c
