Hi all,

I have been searching for a while, without finding the answer - I hope you can clarify this for me.

Can you share content between a Lync client (2010/2013) to a new Group-series endpoint?

It isn't possible on HDX, but I was wondering if it's the same issue on the new Group-series endpoints.

Does it make a difference if you have the RTV license?

Best regards from Denmark,

Kenneth

Hi Kenneth,

The way Lync presents content is different from the H.239 standards way of issuing content that the Polycom video endpoints, both HDX and Group Series support.  Having the RTV key in this case, sharing content, does not make a difference.

Polycom is working with Microsoft on a solution to this.  Talk to your local Polycom rep for additional detail on how we are addressing this issue.

Jeff

Well Polycom had release Content Sharing Software which will enable this feature. Or you can go with Cyberlink webcam which will convert the Lync video stream to H.239 but video will be part of content. Again not supported by Polycom.

Thanks,
