Hello,

We have a number of HDX 9000's in our infrastructure. We can make an audio call through this unit using the touch panel, and management now wantsa to take out the desk top conference phones to excluively use the HX unit. The complaints we are getting from users are:

1. There is no dial tone

2. The projector must be turned on to get feedback on the dialing process.

3. There is a dialing process. You have to navigate the the proper screen and follow procedures.

4. Activating the touch tone key pad to enter pin numbers after the call is in progress by pressing the # key is very cumbersom.

People are screeming for their old phones back. Is there an accessory, option, or device that makes the HDX act like a dumb touch tone phone, so people can make phone calls in a manner that they have become accustomed to. As of now, every time a person wants to make a simple phone call they either give up and use their mobil phone on speaker, or call me to dial for them. People are pissed that we did this to them. Can any one help.

Hello wbalthrop,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

A SoundStation IP 7000 should do what you are after. Please work with your Polycom reseller on the details.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
