I have an HDX 8000 running software version 3.1.11. i have a multipoint license enabled on the device but when i tried to place a multipont cal, the first call(point to point call) would connect with video and audio, third call would connect with audio only, no video. The fourth and above are unable to connect.

Hello @Okorosi Peter,

welcome back to the Polycom community.

Some or a couple of your old post(s) => here <= are still open / pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provided some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate ?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently.

For your new issue:

  • Is this a SIP or H.323 Call?
  • Did you look at the Video FAQ and checked the relevant Ports and / or did a Wireshark trace?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello @Okorosi Peter,

Unfortunately you did not provide any feedback on your old posts and your reply isn't sufficient to comment.

Please either:

  • Provide sufficient information so someone can attempt and assist you
    or
  • Contact you Polycom reseller and/or Polycom support directly but you may have to PPI / Pay Per Incident if the unit is out of warranty or a contract

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello Steffen,

Am doing a H.323 MP call with the HDX device. I don't know how to use wireshack to detect what the issue is. Your help would be highly appreciated.

As regard my old post. i will do the needful. thank you

Hello @Okorosi Peter,

The community's Video FAQ contains this post => here <= which has some basic fundamental troubleshooting which you can utilize to help you.

In addition try the community search or the World Wide Web.

Unfortunately as a Polycom employee I am unable to provide free support or training on how to interpret a wireshark trace.

Maybe another community member will help you but if you are not comfortable to do this then I can only suggest you to work with your Polycom reseller in your area.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
