Hi,

I updated my Kaspersky Endpoint Security Antivirus from version 8 to version 10 SP1

Since then, People + Content IP won't connect

I tried many things to tweak Kaspersky V10 policy (it works with v8 policy) but no luck.

I know, Polycom software is not the problem but if anyone had the same problem ?

Regards

Denis

PPCIP (People+Content IP) uses port 5001 make sure that is open in your security settings.  Guessing that will be it.

Actually I'm not using the network version (which by the way is working fine but is a bit slower)

I try to connect to the polycom device through the usb cable.

The software is located on the usb space in the Polycom touchpad

So the network in not the problem.

Not sure how your security would work with this but the port between the PTC and the codec is still using 5001 for the PPCIP applicaiton that is being used through the Polycom Touch Control that you connected to via USB.  Since it is an application that is using the USB to run on I am wondering if the settings do not allow applications across the USB.

Hello,

I'm still working on a resolution.

May I paste here the ppcip.log file. You should be able to explain what's happening ?

Actually, KASPERSKY found out that the encryption plugin was the problem.

Without this plugin installed, Polycom software is working properly.

They are working on a patch or a workaround.

Thank you for your time.

best regards
