Has anyone been able to chain the Poly Trio 8500 as the microphone for the Poly X50 unit? It seems that the advanced admin portal on the Trio is missing a few line items that might help make this easier, but I'm unable to link both devices. This is the first attempt at getting the Trio linked with the X50 for audio. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @DenverTyler ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First and the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow-up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Your post provides none of these so please update your post if you expect anyone to try and help you.

Ensure you also state what provider mode the Studio X is in.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Hello @DenverTyler ,

Editing a post after a reply was provided does not mark this as a new post so it is lost as we assume the original poster never replied to the follow-up questions.

Again we are missing what mode the Studio X is in but have a look at our VoIP FAQ post here:

Aug 27, 2021 Question: Why do I not see the different Base Profile modes offered when factory resetting /OOB / Out Of Box wizard a Poly device?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Depending on how the unit was purchased, aka in your case an openSIP -025 SKU you should see after a factory reset the option to use the device in Poly Controller. In this mode, it will show up on the Studio X Web Interface and can be paired.

Hi Steffen,

This unfortunately does not answer the question, so maybe I'm posting this in the wrong part of the forum. The device has been reset to factory but it seems that the Poly Trio 8500 still does not offer the ability to connect the Poly X50 unit as the audio input, even though they are on the same network. For some reason, I can't even access the Trio via the IP in the settings, so I'm at a total loss at this juncture.

Hello @DenverTyler ,

I suggest you check the VoIP  FAQ and check the troubleshooting articles there.

If this is not possible please work with Poly Support in your region >here<
