I have query regarding connection flow of EagleEye Director. We have HDX 8000 installation in Our location by Vendor. EagleEye Director (Base device ) with two EagleEye III Camera are installed on the base Station.
EagleEye Director Base has Stem at the Centre which detects the Audio from the local users to track the active Speakers. its Output is given to the Base Station. Again there is a pair of Captive Screw connector at back of the device which with audio cable .
I like to know where is the other connected . I like to know the fuctionality and how it works
Did you read page 4 of this document?
Hi ovg / Polycom team,
thanks for sharing the document link. I have also gone through the same document already.
if you see the connection diagram of the audio out cable from the EED , one pair of RCA connectors are connected to the HDX 8000 as input and another pair of the RCA connectors are connected to the TV. (Attached screenshot for the same.)
the actual scenario here is system integrator takes the audio output from the EED and connect the same to the DSP mixer alone. (second pair is not connected )
i like to know the importance of the connection and best / recommended practice of connection in industry.
Thanks & Regards,
Audio output from HDX connects to EED input and loudspeakers. EED substracts far audio (from hfx out) from audio that EED pickup by own mics. This prevents camera movement towards local loudspeakers.
Dear OVG ,
thanks a lot .. the points you have mentioned in the previous post has answered lot of questions with respect to EED .
last question about the connection diagram :-
As per the document , in the RCA split cable , pair of RCA connectors are shown as to connecteed with TV. If i am not wrong the those pair of the connectors will be connected to the mixers in the conference room setup ...
sorry OVG for asking more question of the connections. because i have seen two eed installations in our customer locations but none the installations are not connected as recommended. (may be technology is been wrongly understood.)
anyway thanks in advance.
Sorry, no comments without full connections diagram.
